Soprano

Canadian Lyric Coloratura Soprano Nikki Einfeld has been celebrated for her “high-flying virtuosity” (New York Times) and “bright, lithe tone, pinpoint accuracy, and saucy stage demeanor” (San Francisco Chronicle).

Her career has taken her to stages across North America, performing Gilda in Rigoletto with Calgary Opera, Susanna in Le Nozze di Figaro with Vancouver and New Orleans Opera, Konstanze in Die Entführung aus dem Serail with West Bay Opera, and the title role in Lucia di Lammermoor with Syracuse Opera and Green Mountain Opera Festival. Other memorable appearances include Curley’s Wife in Of Mice and Men with Manitoba Opera, the Controller in Jonathan Dove’s Flight with Opera Parallèle, Diana in The Chastity Tree, Flavia Gemmira in Cavalli’s Eliogabolo with West Edge Opera, and Ophelia in Hamlet with Opera Lyra Ottawa.

A passionate advocate for new music, she has performed many opera premieres, including the role of Justice Ruth Bader-Ginsberg in the opera Scalia/Ginsberg by Derrick Wang, Christopher Stark’s From the Field as Dorethea Lang, and Aleksandra Vrebalov’s Abraham In Flames as Fear and Doubt. In recent collaborations, Nikki showcased her talents both as a performer and director in two World Premiere operas; Kurt Rohde's "4:30 Movie" and Anthony Green's "Tenderhooks," presented in partnership with the Left Coast Chamber Ensemble.

Guided by a lifelong curiosity about the human experience, Nikki also holds a Master’s in Clinical Psychology and is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist. She integrates her work as a clinician with her artistry, helping fellow performers connect more deeply to their emotional lives, both onstage and off.
